[ Clary feels the familiar bubble of happiness and excitement expand in her chest. ]

Not willing to find out if the rest of the city is going to stare longingly at you? [ Clucking her tongue lightly. ] You've changed.

It's a flattering thought, but I'm happy with what I've got right here.

[ She leans close enough to give him once, a light press of her lips. ]

Are you charming all the time?

If I am, I've never noticed.

[ Sleep is wearing off, even though he could easily wake himself up properly, but not enough to make him move away, foot brushing up the length of her leg in a subtle attempt to get that much closer. ]

You notice everything.

[ She shimmies until she can get her arm around him, fingers splayed against his chest just over his heart. ] Your ego's bigger than Manhattan.

You say that like it's a bad thing. [ He drapes one arm around her, a hand resting loosely over her hand. ] It's still beating.

I was just checking.

[ Glancing up at him, a small smile still playing on her mouth. ] I guess I'm going to be a bit paranoid.

Sometimes being paranoid pays off, and, besides, after everything you've been throw into the last few months, I'm just surprised you're not more paranoid.

[ He sort of means it, but it's light, teasing, and he shifts to nudge his nose against hers, pecking her lips - he's overly aware of his morning breath. ]

[ She makes a happy sound, curls her feet into the blankets further and rests her head back on the pillow. ]

So, what do you want to do today?

Is there an option that includes staying here all day and never moving? I'll pick that one.

[ But there's the food thing, and a shower probably wouldn't be a bad idea. ] Or at least one where we get to come back here.

We could go and get supplies and then come back and hang out here. [ She'd like that, just spending the day lazing around with him in their room. It'd be nice. She could bring her sketchbook to bed with her and try to capture the curve of Jace's mouth in the right light. ]

[ He watches her, as if he's trying to read her thoughts, but sadly he's not gifted with that ability. ] All right, shower and breakfast, then meet back here?

Clearly you have never had a pajama day. [ Teasing and light. ] Shower, breakfast, then a quest to the grocery store for as much candy and terribly fizzy soda as we can carry, then back here for pajamas and hanging out.

[ Grinning as she rolls on to her back, stretching out. ] It's a good thing you have me to guide you in the terribly tricky ways of normal people.

You're clearly far more experienced in this than I am, so I'll take your word on it. [ He mutters quietly, teasingly. ] Leading me astray like this, and I'm the one with the bad reputation.

[ He laughs as he watches her stretch out like a cat, takes a moment to enjoy the last of the warmth before he sighs, springing up from the bed. ]

I'm a terrible person, didn't you know that?

[ She's smiling as she slips out of bed, moves to the wardrobe to find something to wear. If they're stuck here she might actually start using her allowance and the money she makes for working shifts at the Dragon towards actual pretty clothing. It would be nice to be able to dress up.

But it is a pajama day, so she's not really going to put much effort in just to go to the store. ] You can take the first shower. I know you need to get your hair sitting artistically.

Hey, don't mock the hair, it's the thing that channels my charm. Without it I'd be a regular, everyday guy, and that thought's disturbing enough.

[ He searches through the small pile he should probably build at some point, grabbing out a clean towel from the bottom, tossing some clean (well, they're clean enough - they pass the sniff test, it counts) clothes onto the messy bed to pull on after.

He presses a light kiss to her cheek as he passes, turning around in a spin gracefully, and smirking. ] Don't get in trouble while I'm gone.

Me? Get into trouble? [ She does her best to look innocent but it doesn't quite work, not when her smile is wicked and amused. ]

Go perfect the artistic quality of Jace Lightwood then, we wouldn't want the grocery clerk to be disappointed.

If you scream for me halfway through my shower, don't think I'm coming out in nothing but my birthday suit. [ He's coming out in his birthday suit if he needs to.

Peering around the bathroom door before closing it to disappear into the shower. ] And get yet another offer to go out for coffee? I wouldn't dream of it.

[ She laughs at both statements, takes a moment to ponder his birthday suit as she picks through her clothes. Jeans and a shirt seem the right kind of outfit, she can throw her jacket on over it and then switch the jeans for pajama pants when they get back.

Briefly she thinks how it would be if Isabelle were here. If she had someone to ask about the kind of things girls need. Her pajamas all have characters on them, her underwear is plain, nothing feels sexy about her. With a sigh she shoves everything else back and tries not to think about it. Today is a day for chilling out. So she runs a brush through her hair and waits for him to be done. ]

[ He's quick but thorough in the shower, and when he steps out of the bathroom, a cloud of steam following him, his hair is dripping, the droplets running down his back and arms, and is wearing nothing but the towel wrapped around his waist.

If they were doing anything beyond popping out for food and jumping back into bed, he might make more of an effort, but instead he wanders back to the pile of clothes he left out and pulls them on quickly, shaking out his wet hair like a dog might and somehow it ends up sitting in place. ]

There's a couple of eggs left in the refrigerator, I checked last night, so scrambled eggs? They'll be ready by the time you're done.

[ She's sorry Jace, were you talking? Because Clary may have been a little distracted by you being half naked for a moment. ]

Um. [ Blushing a little as she picks up her bundle of clothes. She's not that confident, she'll dress in the bathroom. ] Yeah, that sounds good. I'll just --.

[ Hurrying away to have a cold shower or something. ]

[ He really does love to watch her blush, and he loves it even more when he's the one making it happen. But in an attempt to be tactful, he doesn't comment, and he even turns his smirk away before she catches him. ]

Enjoy your shower!

[ He pulls on a pair of jeans he picked up cheap and climbs into a hoodie, skipping out on the t-shirt since they'll be taking it off again later, and sets to work in the kitchen, cracking some eggs into a bowl and mixing in milk, tipping the whole lot into a pan. It doesn't take long, and he's got it served and ready with the last of the coffee before she's left the bathroom. ]

[ She comes back wearing leggings and a really over-large checked shirt, hair pulled into a pony tail and a wide smile on her face. ]

You're seriously the housewife in this relationship, aren't you? [ Ooh, coffee. She makes a beeline for that as she sits. ]

[ Laughing, he pushes it closer, followed by the plate, and plonks himself down at the breakfast bar after leaving the pan to soak. ]

I hope you don't want babies, I don't plan on ruining my beautiful figure anytime soon. But it's probably safer if I'm the one cooking.

[ Laughing at him then. ] Oh no, don't worry, you can dodge that bullet.

[ Even if the idea of Jace holding a fat and adorable baby is appealing they're too young to even think about it. ]
